Free Summer Meals
USD 470 is offering free meals in correlation to Summer School - Monday through Thursday during the month of June. The meals are free for all children - not just those attending summer school - and will be available at the following locations:
Breakfast: 7:30 - 8:00 a.m.
ACMS - 400 E. Kansas Ave.
Frances Willard - 201 N. 4th Street
Lunch: 11:00 - 11:30 a.m.
ACMS - 400 E. Kansas Ave.

Backpack Meal Distribution: Thursdays 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Each backpack includes three sack lunches and milk for the weekend.

ACHS Partners with Five Star Sports Calendar, LLC
Fayetteville, AR (May 1, 2013) – Arkansas City High School is proud to announce its exclusive partnership with Five Star Sports Calendar, LLC (Five Star) to produce athletic schedule products for the Bulldogs.
Five Star will be representing the athletic department to obtain community sponsorships that will be featured on the products. Sponsors will have the opportunity to advertise on full-color schedule posters and other
media products that will display official team photos, schedules, and the high school's mascot. Arkansas City High School will receive a portion of the proceeds to benefit the athletic department.
Five Star's General Manager of the Southwest Region, Mitch Lawson, expressed his excitement regarding the partnership with Arkansas City High School.
“We are thrilled to be working with Aaron Bucher, and the Arkansas City Athletic Department. Our high
quality schedule products will be a great addition to the Bulldogs' season, and the student athletes will benefit from the community's support.”

Honored Artists
Three ACHS students had art recognized in the Fourth District 2013 Congressional Art Competition.
Congressman Mike Pompeo hosted the Congressional Arts Forum and Reception at Wichita CityArts Saturday, April 20.
Jazmin Lara, senior, won 2nd place for a pencil-drawn portrait.Emily Ellis, senior, received honorable mention for her pencil drawing of a car.
Brianna Hand, junior, received honorable mention for her painting of a parrot.
All entries are on display at Wichita CityArts as part of the Fourth District Art Exhibition in the gallery’s main hall.
District Storm Shelters Open to Community
USD 470’s six FEMA-approved storm shelters continue to be available for public use this storm season and year-round. They are located at these locations:

The school district is currently making online lunch payments available at no charge! Using RevTrak to pay online is easy and convenient. Simply click here then click on your child’s school and enter their Lunch ID number. Middle School and High School students have this information on their ID card. If you don’t know your elementary student’s ID number, please contact the school secretary for assistance.
